What is NSA or Network Spinal Analysis?

Mind-Body Connection

In simple terms, Network Spinal Analysis is a light tap to specific points along the spine initiated by a trained skilled Doctor of Chiropractic. It is an approach in which gentle spinal adjustments can produce dramatic releases in the nervous system. The Doctor interacts with the nervous system by contacting the spinal column, which controls every function in your body. Dr. Consiglio and Dr. Fisher use a method that was developed in 1979 by Dr. Donald Epstein who is based in Brooklyn, NY. NSA has been described as, "If you have a river that is full of life force, it is flowing. If the river is blocked by boulders, the river comes to a trickle. The goal is to remove the boulders and let the vitality come through with the full glory of life!" None of the popping, cracking or thrusting adjustments associated with conventional Chiropractic work is used in NSA. Rather than the harsh manipulation used in other chiropractic offices, our doctors use light taps to the body where the vertebrae attach to the meningeal system which is the thin mylan sheath that covers the spinal cord.

Why do we need adjustments?

The brain and spinal cord operate as a unified system. The spinal cord acts as the main channel for energy transmission and coordination, extending from the neck down the back. This intricate yet vital structure is protected by hard vertebrae with shock-absorbing discs situated between them. The spinal cord runs through the center of your spine, connecting the brainstem to the tailbone comprising of nerves and cells that relay messages to the brain making it an essential part of your nervous system.

When the spine is misaligned, it can irritate nerves and create muscle tension, leading to discomfort. Misalignments can lead to inflammation in surrounding tissues as well which can increase pain. NSA adjustments alleviate this pressure on joints and nerves, helping to reduce inflammation. A properly aligned spine facilitates better communication between the brain and body, which helps restore a healthy nerve function and is essential for overall health.

Nutritional Body Scans

Dr. Norma Jean Fisher employs a technique known as Kinesiology, which utilizes muscle testing to identify the body's nutritional requirements. Also referred to as applied kinesiology, this non-invasive method evaluates the body's reactions to different stimuli, including nutritional needs. It detects subtle changes in muscle strength exposed to various substances, thoughts, or touchpoints. The idea is that when there is stress in a part of your body or some sort of negative input to the body, the nervous system will respond with weakened energy in the muscle being tested. By isolating and testing a muscle's strength while introducing a stimulus, practitioners can observe the body's response and analyze patterns to uncover imbalances. This approach enables access to information directly from the body's subconscious, serving as a precise diagnostic tool. Muscle testing can be utilized in various settings, including nutritional evaluations, to pinpoint food sensitivities, nutrient deficiencies, or bodily imbalances.
